1. Do you review all blood results?
Currently we offer reviews of your CBC (comprehensive blood count), BMP (basic metabolic panel), CMP (comprehensive metabolic panel), thyroid function (TSH, fT4, fT3), lipid profile (including cholesterol), urinalysis, liver function tests, CRP (C-reactive protein), vitamin D, B12 and folate levels, and blood sugar levels (including HbA1C and fasting glucose).
2. How do I upload my lab results?
On the checkout form there is an area where you are allowed to upload a file. You can attach your blood work as a PDF, JPEG, Word document or scanned document. Most healthcare providers provide patients with access to a web portal that will allow you to copy or save a copy of your results. You can also take a photo of your results that you are concerned about with your smartphone and upload them to the site via the mobile platform.
3. Is there an age cut-off for tests you will review?
Yes, we currently will only interpret lab values on patients 21 years of age or older. We may offer pediatric blood reviews in the future if there is a demand for this. If you are interested in a pediatric blood review, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org and we will determine the need to expand our services based on interest.
4. Do you review pathology reports or x-ray reports?
No, we currently do not offer this feature, but this may available in the future.
5. What happens if I upload a CRITICAL result?
As soon as we are aware that the result you have uploaded is CRITICAL we will send you an e-mail with the Subject Emergent. Your ordering physician should pick up these critical values, but if we happen to be the physician to identify this, we will e-mail you to seek emergent medical attention (i.e. dial 911 or go immediately to your local emergency department). WE WILL REFUND ANY PATIENT THAT UPLOADS CRITICAL LABS. In addition to being informative, we would like to serve as a public safety net for your lab results. In cases where your value is CRITICAL, WE WIL NOT CHARGE YOU, but would prefer that you receive the proper medical attention required in a timely fashion.
6. Does this site constitute a doctor/patient relationship?
No. The purpose of this website is for information purposes only. The use of this website will not establish a doctor/patient relationship. It does not serve as medical advice, treatment or medical care. You understand that your treating physician who ordered the test will be the only person responsible for your treatment, management and diagnosis. We will not order additional work up or provide treatment in any way.
7. Is my data secure?
The Review My Results website uses the most modern encryption technology and only physicians who are bound by HIPAA will have access to your results. Only emergency physicians reviewing your results will have access to the results you have uploaded to the site.
8. What is your refund policy?
Patient satisfaction is our number one goal. We have a 100% refund policy. If you are unsatisfied with your review please specify the reason and we will be happy to give you a full refund.
9. Do you or will you talk to my doctor about my results?
We will not have any interactions with your doctor. Our goal is to provide you with more information so that you can have an informed conversation with your doctor about the blood tests.
10. Do you take health insurance or HSA cards?
We do not take health insurance or HSA cards at this time.
11. Will you respond to any questions on e-mail?
We currently do not offer e-mail conversations. Your only communication from our doctors will be a response to the lab work you have uploaded. All further information will have to be a discussion with your personal doctor. At the current price that we are offering our services, we are unable to have conversations with patients regarding the information we provide.
